Moving in

Over the past year we have completed refurbishing a beautiful old farm steading and courtyard into indoor and outdoor spaces that we can call home.

Based in our small and quiet rural village of Rait, in Perthshire, our workshop studio is a calm, warm and inviting rural artistic hub where we can:

  • Work steadily and consistently to realise our visions and ambitions

  • Lead, support and nurture professional and community programmes.

  • Think, research, collaborate, learn, train, develop, physicalise ideas, create and share.

  • Unite a range of diverse communities, cultures, artistic forms and practices

  • Host and deliver a range of social artistic events.

There are 2 adjoining spaces in our building, The Snug and the Studio. These can be closed off to one another or opened to create a bigger space.  The Snug has a raw wooden floor, comfy seats and our stove to create a cozy space.  The studio has an edge to edge harlequin floor and is furniture free.

At these early stages, we are still planning and developing the studio diary for our first programme of activities expected to commence in Autumn 2023.

We are looking forward to working with a range of partners/artists in our new venture and to inviting others to use the space through both supported programmes and hires.

There will be a launch day (date to be released), where we will open the studio for you to come and meet us, see the space and its facilities, ask a bunch of questions, share any ideas you have of how it could be useful for you, and find out how you can be involved in what we will have already planned.

We are not quite ready to put calls out for upcoming opportunities yet, HOWEVER, if you have any immediate questions, are interested in supporting/partnering/working with us, using the studio for your creative endeavours or hiring it for an artistic event – or if you simply have an idea you want to share with us, we would love to hear from you!
