Slanjayvah Danza are seeking 2 musicians to join us for various durations of our 2020 and 2021 UK tour dates of 6 Feet, 3 Shoes

  • an experienced Percussionist
  • an exceptional Fiddle Player / Vocalist

SD is an energetic small scale touring dance theatre company producing work which marries Scottish and Spanish traditional arts with contemporary practice.   The company has been in operation for over 15 years, recently winning acclaim for its sell-out run of 6 Feet, 3 Shoes at Edinburgh Fringe and onward autumn tour in 2019.  In addition to glowing reviews, the show was shortlisted for the prestigious Total Theatre Award for Dance and greeted with exuberant standing ovations from capacity audiences.  SD has secured funding from the Creative Scotland Touring Fund and Arts Council England Rural Touring Dance Initiative for an extensive 2020/21 UK tour of the show.

“6 Feet, 3 Shoes is a multi-cultural dance and music performance that celebrates community spirit, cross-border friendships and cultural exchange. Full of feisty percussive Flamenco, Scottish and Contemporary dance, live music and storytelling, the production draws upon cultural references and humour, traditional foot stomping rhythms, tender moments and a good old giggle.”
