A short aesthetic work of bold shapes and minimal colour characterise this gravity-defying piece and tells the story of a woman trapped in limbo, in the grey hinterland of movement.

Artistic Directors Jenni Wren (Slanjayvah Danza) and Aurora Fearnley (Little Northern Light) combined their creative talents to produce and release this experimental moving image, screen dance and dance for camera work that would sync with the narrative and stage choreography during and as part of the work of “Crazy Joanna”.

Recognised as a work in its own right, Transitions had a successful run in short film festivals including DANCE:Film, Virgin Media Shorts and Underwire Festival.

Transitions continues to be shared far and wide across the globe bringing with it a range of enquiring film makers and artists requesting information on how we made this.
